I found this stunning painting in an antique mall and I couldn't pass it up! I had to paint the frame since the original frame just did not go with the delicate nature of the painting. The painting and frame are both in excellent condition. The painting has been excellently framed. The painting was signed by "Annell Starling"
The subject matter is pink irises, the painter has captured the delicate nature of this stunning flower, It is obvious that it is a real painting, I can't tell if it is acrylic paints or oils. The petals even have a dimensional look with the whiteish tips that are slightly raised. The pictures do no justice, it is absolutely beautiful in person. And you'll understand why I couldn't pass it up and save it from the frame that did not compliment it at all.
I painted the frame with several coats of an ultra-white matte paint, then painted the smooth inside of the frame with a pastel pink. and the designs around the edge with white. I sealed the whole frame with a matte sealer.
The frame is 17-1/4" x 14-1/2" and it is holding an 11" x 14" canvas. There is a wire hanger for hanging.
